Candice Gabriel
Managing Director
Candice is a specialist in cross-border transactions with particular expertise in the oil and gas sector.
She provides clients with traditional legal representation in the form of contract negotiation, drafting, deal structuring and transactional advice. She also provides legal and commercial support in connection with acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, due diligence investigations, and exploration, development and production operations.
Candice assists clients with their projects across the African continent.
Candice began her legal career at Deneys Reitz Inc. as a maritime attorney specialising in marine insurance matters. She joined the national oil company of South Africa, PetroSA, where she served as in-house senior counsel. Candice returned to private practice when she joined Webber Wentzel as a corporate partner, specialising in oil and gas matters. Candice established O and G Consulting in 2020 where she now consults for public and private sector clients.
